Legwork

Privacy

What we hold, why we need it, and who sees it.

This is a plain description of how Legwork actually handles your information, written to be read rather than agreed to. A formal privacy policy is being prepared with proper advice — this page will be replaced by it, not contradicted.

What we collect

What you tell us about the job. The description you write, the answers to the questions we ask, your suburb, when you’re free, and any photos you add.

Your account. Your name, email address and phone number. The phone number is there so a Pro can reach you on the day — it is not used for anything else.

What happened to the job. Each step it moved through and when. That is how the tracking page can tell you where things stand instead of asking you to ring and find out.

We do not ask for your address at intake. A suburb is enough to find the right Pro, and it is all a Pro sees while they are deciding.

Who can see it

Pros see the job, not you. A Pro considering your job is shown the description, your answers, the suburb, your preferred dates and the photos. They are not shown your name, address, phone number or email, and they are not shown what you are being charged. Contact details are handed over when a job is booked, by us.

Your photos are private. They are stored in a private bucket, and every time one is displayed it is through a link that expires within the hour. There is no public URL for a photo of the inside of your house.

Your job page is yours. It is tied to your account and needs you to be signed in. The link on its own opens nothing.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone beyond the Pro doing your job and the services below that make the site run.

Who we use to run it

Supabase holds the database, your account and the photos. Vercel runs and serves the site. Anthropic reads your job description so we can work out what the job needs — the description and your answers go to it, your name and contact details do not.

How long we keep it

A job and its history stay while your account does, so you can look back at what was done and when. Ask us to delete a job or your whole account and we will — message us on any job, or write to help@asklegwork.com.

One exception, and it is worth being upfront about: where a job has been booked and work has happened, we keep the record of it. A Pro committed to real work for a real person, and that is not something we can make disappear on request.

Payments

Legwork does not take payment and does not hold your money. You pay your Pro directly. We do not collect or store card details anywhere, which is the simplest possible answer to what happens to them.

Getting in touch

Every job page has a message box. Anything about your information — what we hold, correcting it, deleting it — goes there and a person reads it.
